I have been a full time registered civil celebrant since 2006.
My fee for weddings consists of two parts*
ONE) A Non-refundable fee of $200 for booking fee and initial administrative costs and documentation required by The Attorney General. This includes:
Sighting of Original Birth Certificates, Divorce Papers or Death Certificate, foreignPassports.
Completing and entering the NOIM on-line, for immediate registration after the solemnisation of the marriage.
Transferring details to The Marriage Register, Marriage Certificate and Presentation Certificate.
Helping with the preparation of and witnessing Statutory Declaration Forms if required. Preparing and witnessing No Legal Impediment to Marriage forms.
Referral to relationship education. Advice or referral on legal matters. Discussing your needs, advice on venue, flowers, photographer etc. Providing examples of ceremonies and readings
TWO) A separate fee is charged for my ceremonial services.
This is usually $350** This includes;
Unlimited emails and phone calls. Meetings arranged at my home office, your home or workplace etc.Answering any questions you have about legal issues.
Discussion of style of ceremony design and providing samples of ceremonies and readings.
Writing a ceremony that suits your needs. Inclusions of other special ceremonies to reflect your culture or relationship.
Help with venue, music, photographer if required.
Meeting with you before your ceremony for you to sign declarations, approve your ceremony, conduct a rehearsal in my home office. (On site full rehearsal add $50)
Conducting the ceremony and making sure that all your guests can hear your ceremony.
A presentation copy of your ceremony as a mememto.
Liaising with musicians and photographers for a smooth event.
I encourage feedback by couples and guests in the interest of best professional practice.
Registering your marriage for you.
Ordering your registered marriage certificate from department of Births, Deaths & Marriages for a disbursement of costs (at present $45 for a standard registered Marriage Certificate)
* So your total inclusive fee for your wedding is usually $550, (plus $45 if you wish me to order your registered marriage certificate for you) which makes it $595 in total.
** This is negotiable if you are having a very basic ceremony or wedding from Monday to Thursday.
Ceremonies on board boats, or at unusual venues which require a longer travel time, incur an extra charge to cover the time involved.

It is worth paying a little more than the Registry Office charge to have your wedding ceremony WHERE you want it, WHEN you want it, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a PERSONALLY written ceremony created with your guidance & input and which allows family members to participate.
